Our trade is a tough one to be in right now. There are plenty of people in the same boat here in the states right now. Let's Hope the People who lose there job's find other's sharpish.Ĭant blame you Rossco, everyone gets that way. They do make a tidy product and TBH Just as good as the rest. Just Get a little Narked when some people Hate on brands for reasons not related to the equipment. Yeah Maybe I should have held that comment back. I found they controls to be a lot smoother than any sky track i have run. With the heavier front end set up, they load out trucks more like a loader. Same size tires and 3 steering modes are great. It always seems to be with plastic parts too. Work great in the begining, but after 6-8000 hours they seem to amass a boat load of issues. I dont think JCB makes a bad product, they do have their downsides though. They still need the dealer network to make it happen also. JCB is working on is US share of the market. It will be interesting to see how things have changed throughout the top 100. ( ) From the KHL Yellow Table 2008: 1: Caterpillar 2: Komatsu 3: Terex 4: Volvo Construction Equipment 5: Liebherr 6: Hitachi Construction Machinery 7: John Deere 8: CNH 9: Sandvik Mining and Construction 10: JCB - 11: Atlas Copco CMT 12: Metso Minerals The new list will be out in April 2009. But I think it is very safe to say that they will be around for a long, very long time to come. So again while Hoeman600's comment sounds harsh, I honestly believe that I myself would not know if JCB closed their doors until I read about it in the weekly email from KHL. ConExpo is the only time I come in contact with anything JCB, and the only things I really remember from the booth this last time were the armored loader/backhoe and the DIESELMAX land speed car.
#Jcb 214 backhoe engine plus#
I think I have seen 2 loader/backhoes plus maybe 1 Robot and I pay attention to every site and note every piece of equipment where ever I am. Even though JCB ranked 10th on KHL Group's 2008 Yellow Table, I can honestly tell you that I can count on 1 hand (without using my thumb) the amount of JCB equipment that I have seen in the field over here. This another one of those "it depends on which side of the pond you are on" arguments. Will any one really notice if jcb is gone I know I wont While this might be a bit on the harsh side, it does have a ring of truth in it. Put it this way, JCB are the biggest privatly owned construction company in the world, so they must be doing something right, and out of all the construction companies, they are 4th, so, i dont think the product can be that bad now!! well, i let the product speak for themselves!! But its about back up, and over here, JCB are miles better than any competitor. JCB are the same as everyone else, they have their problems, like CAT, i mean CAT telehandlers. As for JCB being crap, ive worked on a number of different makes of equipment, and yeah they all break down. I was in Volvo in the UK yesterday, collecting parts for one of their machines, and they have laid a number of people off, their sales are down. But at the same time, everyone is having the same problem, CAT, KOMATSU and CASE have all had people laid off. They are not going down the pan, i should know, as i work for a dealer, yeah, their sales are down, and cutting staff is a way to cut out going money, which you have to do as a business to survive a recession.
